Have you ever wondered why there is so much suffering in the world today? In 1 Peter, we are reminded that just as Christ suffered, His chosen ones should expect to suffer as well. Through suffering, our faith is purified and made genuine. Scripture calls us to holiness—“You shall be holy, for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16)—and becoming wholly His means being transformed into Christ’s image of sacrificial love.
